July 25 The wheel in the sky keeps on turnin'...![]() So last Friday I began filming on a feature film named "The Waiting List". I filmed both Friday and Saturday evenings which made for some late nights. It's a funny script and we are shooting in a small charter school. I happen to play a woman who is 7 months pregnant. I have to say it is a bit fun and surreal to have to wear a fake belly. It is also pretty funny to have my own "belly fluffer"....who also happens to be the director, Mike Vogel. Sunday I began shooting another feature film "Crackin' the Code". We started shooting the last scene in the movie. It takes place in a bowling alley and it was a really cool retro alley. ![]() The crew was so nice and extras were awesome to hang around most of the day. Here is a glimpse of me as "Polly" in the Code film: ![]() We were also able to come up with a couple different movie posters for the film Crackin' the Code. July 29 Audrey Walker, Best of Portland?Just a note to let you know that I was graced with the privilege of being in this years “Best Of Portland” section of the local Willamette Week. You can check it out online at: http://www.wweek.com/editorial/3337/9280/ Or just read it here: “Best Diane Lane Look-alike Forest Grove native Audrey Walker auditioned for a supporting role in director Gregory Hoblit's serial-killer flick Untraceable, which was shot here last spring, bringing young talent like Colin Hanks and Billy Burke into town. She didn't get the part—but she got cast as the body double for the movie's star, Diane Lane . So for 12 to 16 hours a day, Walker took Lane's spot for shots that didn't require the famous face. Walker says she doesn't think she looks like Lane, but "when I cut my hair 11 inches, some people said they had a hard time telling us apart from behind or from the side." (Well, that's a compliment...of a sort.) So next January, when you're watching Diane Lane in the shower, you're not ogling a Hollywood star. You're checking out the back of a Southeast Portland actress (who has full roles in the upcoming indie projects Man Maid and The Missed Detail). "Anywhere where you don't see her face," Walker says, "it's probably me." |
